Instead of the top light...do you have side lights?? If so try it with side lights on both sides of the box. Might get a better pic with the lights pointed on the same level as the figure."When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

I have not cut in side lights yet. That is next on my list. I also have to find 2 more lights!
My first attempt had 2 pieces of paper and a seam at the bottom. Than I found the white foam core display board and used a curved piece of paper to not have a seam. Lighting was too harse. Than I started looking for info on the net and discovered the complete kits. Out of my budget right now. Than I found the link to the box directions. Its been a fun day exploring the options. Now I just have to Tweek it a little.
Thanks for all the great tips!Too many toys. Not enough space!Comment

I've had the little photo studio that's pictured in this thread for years...and thanks with the tips I took this picture about 5 minutes ago...I've been meaning to take a pic of these awesome custom Kiss figures by boss for a while. This shot is lit from the sides. So without further ado I give you

I'm going to work on mine right now. I'm going cheap, then if it works like I hope, I'll upgrade to perhaps a PCV frame instead of cardboard and with cloth instead of tissue paper.
Thanks for the links."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment

Than I can get a plastic frame!
2 side lights on the King and The Wizard.

Finished. Here are some I took. I think it's a huge improvement. Still need to play with different light angles and brightnessessses. Spent about 15 bucks total including the lights, posterboard, tissue paper and bulbs. I'm getting some weird halo/ghost fogging on the left hand side and am Not sure what that's about.

I was inspired by the tip but too unambitous for the build and broke down and bought this one... 19.5" Photo Tent Studio Tripod Light Photography Box - eBay (item 300508823489 end time Feb-25-11 11:43:00 PST)
Soon as it comes in I'll review it and show some examplesComment
