Elastic and Re-Stringing.

What is the official name for the elastic used for re-stringing?

I know there's a version used as gift-wrap string but I can't locate it even tho I visited some stores. That product doesn't seem to come in white. From what I've seen on the boards it's red, gold or silver but not plain white. Maybe I'll have to order it online.

Has anyone ever re-strung T2 bodies rather than use the rubber-bands? Is the method the same as T1 re-string? What about the different method to reduce leg splaying? Would that need to be done on a T2 re-strung body?

I have put together some bodies from parts for my customs but want to be sure of what I'm doing.

For restringing T1 bodies, I use Stretchrite-Round elastic cord... It's white so it's not "gift wrapping string" and it works really well... It can be found at WalMart by their crafts/sewing supplies...

I did restring a T2 body without the use of the rubber bands and it worked out okay... I strung it close to the way you'd restring a T1, except for the legs, for those I strung the elastic thru the little "hooks" (where you'd normally have the rubber bands)... I'm sure that using the tutorial method on how to restring a CTVT body work work too...
