okay, thats it, Im going to send Dr Mego a note and ask about what he means when he talks about boiling on his Repro page.
I have some pigment to use while pouring , but it didnt arrive untill after I did the castings. This isnt a big deal, but I'd just like to know how or what Paul meant .
"Comes with the wrist pin - can be dyed other colors using Ritt fabric dye and boiling water."
Thats from the store listing for replacement T@ hands in tan flesh.
^^^I believe Doc is talking about dyeing his white bodies because they are made of PVC plastic not resin. I have done this with mixed success. But, never dyed any resin items.

???????????
His replacement hands are soft and absorb the dye, but resin is hard and doesn't take dye well. But I'd just mix the dye with water and boil. Just throw the heads in and see what they come out like. Don't keep them on the stove. You don't want them changing shape because they are too hot. Make the dye a lot stronger than recommended for fabric. The longer you soak them, the darker they should get. I'd use about a tenth of the water they say to use. Or just use the concentrated liquid without adding water.
Score! thank you. Now I also know which Dr Mego items are flexible.
So his repro items that are hand made are resin NOT PVC. EX: the Neptunian boots and gloves I just bought.
PVC. Got it. Makes all the sense. Thanks guys.

^^^if you want to change colors of boots (Doc's, Castaway's, etc.) I prefer airbrushing. You can see how nice it worked on my custom Quicksilver in Finished customs
