    Spray-on Fabric Paint

I found this product online, and was wondering if anyone had ever used it or something similar for customs?

I've an idea for a custom that I'm not 100% sure would be easy to pull off via silkscreenig/dye sublimation, but I think if I put the suit on a repro T2 body, and masked areas of the suit off prior to spraying, this might work.

I need to know if this idea would fly, if the paint would stay on or fade over time, if it would rip or need to be ironed, etc. Just a thought, and of course my appreciation for any help or suggestions!

No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

      Hmmmm....

It SHOULD hold up pretty good. Masking off the figure is a good idea, but you might get some bleed through the fabric under the mask; depending on how viscous the paint is. (Use light coats.)

Agreed, ctc - my plan was to do just that with light coats, as I didn't want to risk clumping or dripping. I'll do some more research on this, and do some tests before I put the plan in motion; I'm already planning to do several customs this year (actually, I'll be happy to finish the ones I've started so far!), and this idea for my "mystery custom" might rocket it to the top of the list.

        Thanks for the input, folks!

I've got a bottle of this in red that I've been meaning to get around to using with a masking tape stencil as well. I've had some success with just brushing on fabric paint and removing the masking tape, but I'm hoping the spray on stuff goes on thinner and with a deeper red than the brush on fabric paint, which more often than not is more pinkish or orange.

Red's definitely one of the colors I'm considering, samurainoir. The deeper the better - I'd like a solid, mid-darkish red color for this particular character, as well as one or two others who's costume designs won't be as complicated to mask off as the first one I'm intending to do.
