Snags in 12" Mego Superman costume?

Is it possible, and if so what is the best way to fix snags in a 12" Mego Superman costume? I just got this figure and love it, but there are a few snags in his suit that I'd like to fix if I could.

I've had the best luck with a fabric snag remover. You can get them at any Walmart store. Here's a link for reference.
