Question for the Rit dye/color remover experts

Does anyone know if the Rit color remover would damage the vinyl of a Mego tunic?

Also, does the dye ruin the vinyl or would it just absorb into the sleeve and not damage the rest of it?

I've used Rit colour stripper a lot on fabric but never vinyl. You have to heat the water and let the piece simmer for a while. That might cause problems.

I never thought about that: Maybe the heat would ruin the vinyl...

I don't want any changes to the vinyl... Maybe I'd be better off just finding someone who'd be able to sew in different colored sleeves instead of trying to dye them the color I want...
