I hate work.
This custom, which basically amounts to a head swap and dressing a figure, still required the use of power tools and sharp things to get the head into the FC torso.
Too much work.

End results are nice, though. I know I'm not the first person to use those overpriced Tomb Raider plastic statues to make an articulated Famous Covers Lara Croft, but I found this in my storage locker and wanted to share.
Recipe:
1 crappy Tomb Raider plastic statue head + background.
1 female Famous Covers body
1 set of clothes from a generic outdoorsy type figure. Might even be a dollar store special. Though I'm pretty sure the boots are boy figure boots - girl figures usually have dainty Barbie feet.
1 set of holsters and guns from a McFarlane Escape from New York Snake Plisken (I thought he was dead?) figure
I never considered this to be completed because I saved the hands from the statue - it had fingerless gloves and molded weapons in one. But because I'm lazy, I never attempted to try a hand swap. That would have been even more effort, dontcha know.
I have two more of those plastic statue thingies, and I'm trying to decide if I want to Ebay them, or keep them for future attempts. I have a great 9" base body that's a lot more feminine than Ms. Man Hands here, and I'm tempted.
Sorry for the crap pix - all I got is a cellphone camera.
