I take it you're looking for a revolver? I've doctored up a CHiPs gun. Worked really well but it'll only fit a CHiPs hand.... (Although it would be possible to file a handle down: mine are resin recasts.)

Yes I am looking for a modern styled long barreled revolver like a "357".
Similar to this.
I do have a matched set of snake plissken pistols that would work but I don't want to chop the sights off and I don't cast my own stuff.
I'm not worried about the handles fit to much as I'm using castaway bodies/hands so they flex pretty good.
Do you have any pics of your gun?

try cxr ranch they have pistols for 11inch dolls but some of the small guns work with the 8inch figuresComment

A custom build wouldn't be hard using the chips gun as a base either though - just trim off the underside of the barrel and the sight, and it'd be ready to take a length of plastruct tubing or two.
On second thought yeah, I guess that is kind of involved.Comment

Yup. I make resin casts of the ChiPs gun, and I use those 'cos it's easier to work with than an original. I cut off the barrel and catch, run support pins off the front, and use aluminum tubes for the barrel. With a small strip of plastic for the top support. It'd be easy to shape the handle so's a regular hand can hold it too.
