Head Shrinking with Acetone

I just read the tutorial on head shrinking in the Tips and Trick section. Can someone tell me if it's necessary to wash the head with water in between dunks, or should I just let the head dry with the acetone on/in it?

I'd just leave it. The acetone evaporates out of the head and is gone.

Be careful with that stuff. It seems harmless. but it's a serious chemical. Open air ventilation.
