How do the heads come off Famous Cover figures?

Are they just pushed on a little knob or do I have to break the existing body to get it off? Just curious. I'm thinking about converting some of the figures like Cap and Thor to the Zica bodies. I think they would look descent on those bodies.

I usually stick them in boiling water for half a minute and then pull them off. They don't have a neck since its part of the FC body, so they look odd on a mego unless you can build up the neck somehow.

After customizing tons of FC figures I just thought, maybe use the top of the FC body/neck to attach to the Mego size body. That way you don't need to make a neck with plug to fit the smaller, neck-less body. It might be worth a try.

Even with the boiling water method many FC heads bring the neck tab inside upon pull and breakage. That is why I now use X-Acto knife to cut slots under the head and facilitate its removal from the neck tab prior to pull.
