Wizard of Oz customs with boxes

I finally finished the Winkie Guard custom (took a while to figure out the spear). I took a shot at building custom boxes for the Winkie custom and for a mattel Winged Monkey (which is close to Mego size). I have a few more WOZ customs in the works that I'll post pics of in the next few weeks.

Man, those are beautiful, my daughter would kill for those. She is dressing as Dorthy this year for Halloween. She has Emerald City, Dorthy, Lion, Witch, Wizard, Scarecrow, and Tin Man in the Mego line. They are not collector pieces, she plays with them.

You need to do Tinman, Scarecrow, and Lion in the guard's outfit!!!

Wow I really like that winged monkey...may I ask what the base figure was??
      "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Gorgeous! Wow, nice. I'd like to see a Monkey done with a furry costume the way Mego did the Lion, but this is a very good looking one as well.

If anyone would have ever told me I'd be interested in an Oz custom, I would have told them they were nuts, not a chance. But since the first time you posted that Winkie figure, I've wanted to buy it. It's just dang cool. So once again I say Bravo on the figure, and add a "nice job on the packaging" on top of it.

Great suggestion. I'd like to cast a head of the monkey (slightly smaller) and then modify it to fit on a 5" body. I need to look around for some gray material similar to the Lion's costume.

You could even get the Mugato feet in blue/grey and turn them into slip on shoes for the 5 inch body.

Really cool stuff, IMO. Mego was very proud of this line and you've done it justice.

That Winkie costume is still as impressive as the first time I saw it. And great job on the spear and the boxes

Can a custom be in the Spotlight two different times? If not, this one should - it's that good. I am extremely impressed with it all over again - the spear is fantastic! And you captured the goofy expression on the flying monkeys perfectly! Such nice work - you should be very proud.
