    The Angel

This week I am working on my X-Men line at the request of my daughter who said we needed more X-Men! This of course is one of the X-Men I am working on.

All parts are from Dr. Mego. I took a regular white body suit and added blue fabric paint to it to give it that two tone color look.

For some reason when I snapped the picture, the shiney blue fabric paint created flash spots on him and it looks like he has white paint misses in his blue but it isn't like that. The camera did no justice to this figure. I will have a better shot of him when I post the whole X-men team a few weeks from now!

Did you sculpt the headpiece? That looks like an Alan Carter head modified. Works really well actually.

It's amazing what you can do with frosting these days.

Good eye! You are right. I got the head from my pal Dr. Mego. I took the head to the grinder and wore down the head around the ears and back to make it look like Angel's mask. It took me about twenty minutes to get it to look right after finishing it up with sandpaper. Since Dr. Mego's heads are mostly recast rezin, it was easy to grind down on the grinder.
I did the same thing to one of those Picard heads from Dr. Mego's site so I could create a smooth, round head for Professor X that I am going to be posting on here in a few days whenever his damn wheel chair ever gets here I got off Ebay.

I don't get it. Is that some kind of insult to my figure or something? Not sure what you mean.
