Bubbles or blisters

I have a handful of customs and even some original figures that extend past the 8" packaging height, therefore the head gets smashed into a corner or just doesn't fit at all. I have all my figures in Castaway super clams, but I am thinking of customizing the clam by removing the bubble portion, and stick a new larger bubble/blister right onto the super clam. Maybe a 9" or 10" bubble, same width and depth as the original. Any comments? I am looking at something like this:

But needs to be taller. Also looked at Zoloworld, but those are too big.
