    Mail Armor?

I was attempting a Richard the Lionheart custom a while back and I could never find a way to create a way to simulate mail armor. Any ideas?

      Hmmmm....

I've seen folks make actual chain. Looks pretty good, but it's a LOT of work, and kinda tricky to work with. You could get one of them bodysuits from CTVT, or off a Mego Knight. Those work pretty good.

^ Yeah, I think the knight bodysuits give a good effect for 1/9 scale, and allow poseability...

Loking forward to see what head you use for Richard, I've been mulling that over, too.

I think a Mego knight suit would work well. I just have to find one.

I am currently altering a butcher's glove I won off ebay for chainmail...

I also found a few other things that might work decent...

Dryer lint filter and tea strainers...

I'm not far enough into to show pics yet but soon...

Aaaarggh! I tried making chain mail for my Old Soldier (From Astro City) custom. Madness. I was only making a sleeve and it drove me nuts! I wound up using a material I found at Joanne fabrics.
