I keep trying to order Cast-A-Way Toys retro male bodies for the last 2 weeks and they're still out of stock.I'd rather order Cast-A-Way Toys bodies but I don't want to wait any longer.I've bought Doc Megos male bodies and they seem to be the same but I'm not sure.Will Doc Megos male body work just as well or should I wait just a little longer?Thanks to everyone and I hope to hear your opinions.

I would restring the DM bodies, or at least check the tension on the arms. They can be strung REALLY tight which can cause damage to the torso or tear the connecting area at the arm.Comment

Ditto on that. I don't fiddle with mine too much, just to avoid that.
However, rubber bands aside, they are sturdy suckers. If you're really in a hurry for some male figs, go to Doc. His are by far the best.JediJaidaComment

rip out all the Rubber and the Metal, and re-string with stretch string..., and they work Fantastic.

agree with what was said before. the cast a way bodies are cool also and have the extra swivel at the bicep and the hands are a little softer so you can fit things in their hands a little easier but Doc's bodies work just fine. I think Doc mentioned he would be incorporating the swivel bicep into his bodies in the near future as wellComment

Dr. Mego bodies have arms and legs that are molded in PVC. These are extremely durable and won't crack.
So far, Dr. Mego is my first choice as the base body. I almost always replace its arms by the Cat-A-Way bicep swivel arms. But I understand that the Doctor will be providing bicep swivel arms as well. Do you imagine if these are molded in PVC as well???
I have also been able to make a custom Mattel-EMCE Hybrid Body with great results. Search for my Mattel - EMCE Hybrid Bodies thread.
Last but not least, coming soon is the Z-Body... It is just a wonderful time to be a Mego freak!Comment
