I figured as much...thanks for the info Anthony!!Timber Wolf debuted in Adventure Comics #327 (Dec '64) as Lone Wolf. His costume was redesigned by Dave Cockrum as far back as Superboy #197 (Sept. '73), though it may have been even earlier.
Wolverine first appeared in Incredible Hulk #180-181 (Oct. 74) but he was designed/created by Len Wein and John Romita with assistance from Herb Trimpe. Cokcrum started drawing Wolverine in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May '75) and is the first one to draw Wolverine without his mask and give him that hair style similar to Timber Wolf's.
