Best way to attach a plugless head casts?

I have a few resin APES heads I purchased that need to be attached to bodies... The problem is that they have "stems" rather than MEGO-style "plugs" and they won't stay in the torso... Two of them have stems that aren't very long and slip out easily... The other one has a longer stem but it also wants to slide out if the head is even slightly moved (or if the figure is picked up the wrong way)... Any advice on a good way to attach them more "permanently"?

make a ball joint neck for it, tie it down with elastic using a screw eye.

I use the elastic String & Eye Hook method as well...and tie the String to the Bar in the Pelvis. You also said that they alreay have Stems, so you won't have to make a Ball joint...unless you want full articulation.

By "full articulation", I'm guessing you mean "full range of motion" (similar to the 12" GI Joe)? I think I seen where somebody did that, but I can't remember who it was... Anyway, other than maybe putting some putty over the stem to round it off, is there any difference in the way this would be attached?

It's called a "Ball Jointed" Neckplug, and BlackKnight uses them on all his Figures(then they can look up, down, or in any direction). After you round the Neck Plug off, drill a hole across the Bottom...then string your Elastic Cord through the Torso, and down to the Pelvis Bar to tie it off.

Assuming there IS a pelvis bar, not all pelvi have them.

Well, then...drill a hole all the way through the Chest, and push a Styrene Rod through and Super Glue it into place. Then you will have something to tie it to.
