Head Shrinking

Hey I started on a head shrinking yesterday and I was wondering if there are any words of wisdom out there for me. My wife and I got some acetone and I beheaded and extra 9 in playmates Kirk. I submerged the head for about 15 mins last night and the head got very soft, then I set it out on a paper towel to dry. How long does it take to dry out? The rubber was very soft still so how long should I dunk it tonight? I hope it turns out good.

I have dunked it four times now and it is soft and not really shrinking like I had hoped. I even dunked it on the way to work today so it will sit in the car today and get hot. Am I supposed to wash it with water after the acetone? What should I do?

the nine inch trek heads don't shrink very much, if at all.

Doesn't Dave Mc have some shrunken Playmates Trek heads?

I did it the kirk 9in is now 8in and I did a Riker too! It took a couple of days but the Kirk looks great I just repainted him and added a neck plug from EMCE Spock head and he looks great. I will take a picture tonight and post it tomorrow. I hope to get the riker done tonight too. I am going to try Data next. I couln't believe how much it did shrink because they blow up in the acetone like 12in scale then they shrink over night. I think I dunked them 5 times at like 15 mins each. I'm doing all my 9in playmates heads this way.

Trappy after you get them shrunk will you make casts and make them available? if you you cant I'll be happy to do for you for just for a cast.
