Finally! My Boba Fett is done. I started this guy almost 4.5 years ago. I got this head from Paul Evans way back. Back far enough that I didn't have the skill (or the dremel) to remove the pez thing from the back of the head, which you'll see in the back shot. I just painted it at the time and put it on a naked body. ( I didn't have the heart to redo the paint job all these years later, so I didn't go back and sand off the pez thing.) Then I had no clue what to do. I took it out every few months hoping to figure something out-- Nada, zilch. This went on for over 4 years. I'd try something with it, hate it, put it away. The only progress I made was in the form of a gift from Captain Mego, who sent me a cast Jetpack for him, but it sat unpainted with the naked Fett.
2003 passed. 2004, 2005. Hmm... 2006, gone as well.
Finally had some ideas recently, and once I got started kind of became obsessed with finishing him. I cheated around the boots because I couldn't find anything I liked, so I left them solid grey because a paint job just drew attention to them. Besides, that kind of cheat seems kind of mego.
I hand sculpted, cast and painted the upper body and armor, and improvised the rest. My wife braided me the scalps.
Anyway, here's my Fett, and only 4 years late!
