Mego-scale samurai swords

I can't remember who it was, but someone was looking for mego-scale samurai swords. I found some at my dollar store in a two-pack ninja action figure set. Each set comes with two figures and two swords. I'm not the best at judging scale, but they looked like they would be pretty darn close. Even cooler, some were in clear blue and clear green plastic for, uh, those times when that would be useful. Others were in gray and black. Two swords for a dollar.

I saw those at mine, too. The figures aren't even close to 1/9 but the swords are oversized and I think they would be ok for Mego scale. Definately for a Wakasashi (short sword). All the ones I saw were clear colored plastic, but could possibly be resin cast or something and painted up nicely.

If you have front view, and side views of Toshiro Mifune, hopefully wearing the same expression, please post it...I want to make him in Mego scale.

Oh yes. I look forward to that. I don't have any of the Mifune movies on DVD currently. I really want to buy Red Sun on DVD. It's hard to fight the compulsion.
