8" female action figures

I was wondering if anybody out there is working on a better body style for 8" female action figures, then the mego one. I love the type 2 male bodies, but the stick figure females are horrible. Anybody, please.

I know not much choice!i saw breyer girls bodies maybe little thicker .famous covers bodies good,some have boot feet others not their hands and feet easy to pop off.sadly best ive seen.

Volks and Obitsu both make super-articulated bodies that can easily be shortened to Mego scale.

My daughter loves "The Docs" breyer girls! We have a big collection of super hero females that work fine "The Doc" has made into some fine looking figures for my daughter. I would advise buying up a bunch of Breyer girls. They might be what you are looking for!

Trust me. I have never had an issue with a Breyer girl I bought from Doctor Mego. We have about maybe 12 of them made into super hero women. My daughter loves them!!!

Breyer changed the hip joints a couple of years ago and now they all stand like they've just given birth to a four-year-old. Couple that with the weak ankles and "permalube" slick body texture and you've got a perfect toy version of a redneck baby factory.

I don't know about that, but the Breyer girls do look a little taller than Megos

I've used some Breyer girls and they are a tad taller and definitely more "hippy" than the Mego female body...

Thanks, guy. I have looked at the Breyer's and they are better than the Mego's but I hoping for a figure with a little more meat (plastic) on her bones. The Famous Cover figures do look great but even with the feet and hands switched out they are still a little to tall next to male Megos. If only FC have really been 8" figures instead of 9"

Vince over at Project Custom has built an 8 inch female body. From the photos on his site it looks great (with plenty of articulation). Sadly, it doesn't look like it's for sale yet but I'm sure if you emailed him, he would give you an update of when it will be available.

This is the Volks 22cm mini body with the C cup size (it's really only about 18cm or 7 and 1/4" tall without their head on it) that ABMAC mentioned standing next to a Doc Mego body

If you'll notice the feet, they are not standing side by side - she is up a bit which makes her look taller. But...she is a tad taller anyway - very easy fix by removing about 1/8"-1/4" from her calves/ankles or wherever you want.
