Sleestak plans?

I only ordered one for now but may order 1 or 2 more. I am extremely slow at assembling customs and it may take me near forever to get this one done as I have a lot of customs just sitting waiting to be worked on. I'd love to be able to represent many of the Sleestak but I'll just settle for a standard version and Enik.

BTW if you don't own season 1 of LOTL you should get it! There's great bonus material w/David Gerrold. He talks about what was suppossed to be in the pit making that godawful noise. He also discusses 2 "lost" episodes. 1 the network would not approve which he outlines in great detail and 1 by Haralan Ellison he could not buy because Ellison witheld the 4th act.

CMonster, one question on your Sleestak heads. The one with the neck drapery: does that also have a Mego neck plug or does the drape prevent you from mounting it the Mego way? Also are any Pakuni sculpts in your plans in the near future?

In answer to your query, the one with the neck drapery does not have a neck plug underneath it. On my own, personal sleestak customs, I simply glued it on, over the suit. However, I know that most customizers in here, like thye neck plug, so that's why I made that version available. I just finished up some sleestak hands and feet as well, so I'll try to post pics soon. I have sculpted a Cha-Ka, I just need to mold him. He's on the list.

Can anyone recommend what type of paint to use on the sleestak head(I don't do much in the way of figure customizing)? I'm still waiting for my Doc Mego body and outfit to arrive but I have the head in hand.

First, wash it with soap and water. Then dry it thoroughly, prime it, preferably with white, then use any acrylic paint. I like Delta Ceramcoat... You can get it at Michael's pretty inexpensively.

What are you guys and gals using for the suit?

I just received a scaly green suit and Neptunian gloves and boots from Doc Mego for mine. Just have to paint the head.

I'm just throwing this suggestion out there as I know in these tough times money is tight. For anyone wishing to revisit the show of TLOTL have you tried checking your library? I ask because my library carried the whole series in one box set and they had multiple copies sitting on the shelves.

Since I am the sole bread winner in my household the library has been a blessing for my family as we're not having to spend entertainment money on Blockbuster. We reserve whatever we want online (books, graphic novels, dvds) and the library does the rest. Our library acts like our Redbox and no longer do we have to do any of the browsing or work, we simply reserve what we want then we get an email when it's ready for pick up.

BTW...I was watching Bigfoot and Wildboy this morning, and a slightly modified Sleestak showed up as one of the shows many creatures. It was kinda funny.
