Moebius makes a 1/6 resin model that's out right now. It's expensive ($100+) but you might find someone who has it to cast it for you for less. Also, don't know if the scale would match up perfectly--it's always give or take a few degrees.

But it would be a great head to use!

Thanks for the links. I suppose one could repaint a figure that already has rooted hair, but that might look terrible. Another thing I thought about is an Action Man black wig that they made for their Native American figure outfit. It's basically a 1/6th black wig so you could just slap it on whatever head you choose. I was thinking it might look alright on a pre-existing Mego 12 inch head that was tweaked correctly. Even Buck looks a little like Arnie from the movie.
