How should I make these boots?

I need everybodys input on the best way to make these boots.I'm going to buy a pair of Cast-A-Way Toys old style boots in white then paint them the color I need to match. My problem is how do I cut the "V" at the top and add the raised "V" underneath that goes around to the back of the boot.Look at the picture to get an idea of what I need. Thanks to everyone for your help in advance.

I have seen it done with mixed results, I would try to get a pair of "Klingon"boots (since you are painting them anyway) then about a 45 degree cut upward from the back first, then the looks like a smaller 45 degree cut from the front if you pinch the boot, can easily be done with nice sharp scissors

Get a pair of Doc ,or CTVT boots that are already blue, cut the needed space out with an exacto, and to add the underlying trim try sculpting it with Apoxy clay. I'ts worked for me in the past

Cut the boot at an Angle..., then cut the triangle out in the Front.

Good news,Bad news....The good news is that Cast-A-Way Toys has a pair of light blue old style boots that matches almost perfectly to the material that I'm useing for the outfit.Bad news is that if I cut the "V" in the front that the white from the boot will show and I don't know what color blue that David and Jason use to paint their white boots. The other problem(maybe)is that I still want that raised "V" look like in the picture and I'm not sure what to do about it.I was thinking about buying another pair of light blue old syle boots and cutting out the raised "V" part out, wrapping around the back and glueing them on then touching up the paint to match. If I do that, what type of glue should I use?Let me know what you think I should do and thanks to everyone so far for all your help.

            Hmmmm....

Tricky. The notch is easy; cut that out of a Mego/Doc/CTVT boot. The ridge is tougher, since so few things stick to the boot plastic. I'd cut an appropriately shaped strip of craft foam and superglue it on.

The factory paints our parts so I can't help you with the color used.

You can get a couple different colors of blue vinyl paint, but the raised trim is a tough one to pull off. Curious to see what you come up with.

Is there anyway to contact the factory to find out what color blue they use and where they get it from?

Gentleman you always use a whole punch when cutting plastic material
they come in different sizes , and than use a piece a of hard wood held in a vice small enough to go into the boots as a cutting surface and use a sharp razor to make the angel cuts.
,used a 6 inch ruler and a NO. 2 pencil or white wax grease maker to draw out how you want it to look.

For the raised part, if you are going to paint them, try Contac adhesive. It isn't going to stick itself to the plastic, you'll need a glue stick or maybe Elmer's, but it is thin, pliable and easy to cut. If one piece isn't thick enough, you can try a double piece. It should form enough of a ridge to show through if the paint isn't too thick.
