Good News!!! Just came out of the Operating Room,...the removal surgery of the chin was a Success! The whole procedure took about 4 minutes (My Kids assisted me).....The Chin is Off (Sorry never was a Jay Leno Fan). Happy to report Mr.Flash is doing fine. Now on to the casting and repainting. My kids can't wait to get their own little Flash. Incidentally, i need (3) Flash emblems.

    Post Surgery Flash resting peacefully.........

    Sorry Jay!!!

The hard costs of the silicone ALONE on a properly done, mego scale head mold, is much more than 8 dollars, I can tell you that for sure. I'm just going by the seller that I looked up. I didn't mean that price to be for all 3 heads, I meant that price per piece. The prices I quoted came directly from Laurie's site, plus from other people who sell resin heads. I didn't realize Ivaniski meant that he wanted someone to make the mold for the head in question. I actually just thought he was looking for resin copies of a Mego head to alter, which are fairly common and inexpensive, because many customizers already have the molds.
I don't make many heads to sell, but I do modify some and then cast them in resin, so I do have some idea what kind of cost is involved with molding.

If you were to ask a customizer to do it, I would agree with the 50 or so for initial mold and cast, plus 15 or so for additional casts.

Of course, then you gotta paint them.
    Thanks for the info.....Really appreciated.

Just different camera angles depicting the Jay Leno chin. I wonder if some Museum member with photoshop capability could alter this Flash head with a minimal chin look.

Here's the head in Question.....I purchased this 6'' Flash figure a few years ago from my local comic store. I had Reproheads casted for me to Mego scale for my personal collection. He casted it a bit,..Just a tad bit larger then Mego scale. Being a perfectionist... i wanted it recasted at a 1:1 Mego scale. However, before i do that... i want to try and reshape the protruding chin. I've been getting good feedback from fellow Museum members on how to go about this via fine sand paper sanding....(thanks to all for the info). However, Here's my dilema...my (3) kids have fallen in love with this Flash. Therefore, i need to make three of these Flash action figures for my kids (Personal family use only). My kids and i luv this Flash head. However, before i could send it out for recasting...I need to fix this chin (sorry it's the perfectionist in me). HELP!!!

Need to reshape that Jay Leno look........Beautiful paint Job by Megospidey!!!

Just what I have seen.Unless you can get more buyers of the head then some casters will sell more for cheaper thus helping you to split cost.
    Precisely my point.

I can certainly agree to that, however; if it is already a resin head doesn't that mean it is already a pre-excisting casted head?
So copies should be going at the original caster for around 10-12 dollars a piece.
    Maybe 8-15 depending on who.
