I really like your Jay Garrick. "The Doc" can hook you up with a cheap GoldenAge FLash helmet. GOto his site http://www.megodoctor.com/Merchant2/...gory_Code=HEAD I have one on my GA Flash and it looks smooth. He crafted it out of some sort of fireman helmet. You can't even tell what it was.

I may do that if my custom doesn't work out.
May sound silly, but I want to do as much of the work as possible.
I haven't gotten to the point yet but I want to start with a body and head (maybe even sculpt it) and put it together head to toe.
I have a looooooong way to go but looking forward to it.

You know, I think that Cap head works better for the Flash than it did for Cap himself. The repainted eyes make a world of difference!

Funny When I was a Kid I really wanted to have a Flash figure.I thought That if I took the Cap figure and Painted his head red and just gave him Captain marvels Costume I would have an Instant flash never got around to making it. Until as an Adult I found a beat up cap head and just redid him. I'm not sure if Mego would have used caps head but for me this is Mego like.

Nice set! Is that Max Mercury on the right in one of his earlier costumes?

Also, is that Doc's Flash/Mercury helmet? If so, it is much nicer than the pics on Doc's site and catalog make it look. I always thought it looked kind of rough (no offense Doc, I love your stuff).

I ask because I'm finishing up a Jay Garrick custom right now.

I also used a modified Cap head for Barry/Flash. It just looks Mego that way!

I secretly want to find out who to ask for advice when I work up the nerve to start messin' things up badly. I've looked the tutorials over but I plan to screw things up that the tutorials never thought of.
