One of These Mego's is Not Like the Other!!!
Howdy all! It's time for another dose of Mego-like custom weirdness. These
are a couple of customs I did for a contest on figurerealm.com. I never win over there, cause it seems they prefer custom Marvel/DC Direct type customs, or maybe I just suck
Do I sound bitter? Damn right
Anyway, meet the Hellhounds. They say when Hell is full the dead will walk the Earth. Till that time comes, Satan likes to keep his souls in check. Every once in awhile one escapes, thats where the Hellhounds come in. Hook and Fork are sibling bountyhunters/soul retrevers of unknown origin.
Hook is the brains and "beauty?" of the two. Hook has a CTVT body, boots, and "white hand of death," her head is a Doc Mego bald female with Apoxy Sculpt hair and is painted with acrylics, her hook hand is from the McFarland Lost Souls figures, I used electrical tape around her wrists for cheap leather like effect, and her dress is an original Mego Dorothy dress, just cause it's so darn cute!
Fork is the brawn of the two. His body is a BBi/Dragon nee GI Joe style. I got the body already customized on eBay for 3 bucks plus 2 for shipping. I couldn't resist such an awesome deal! I made his head from polymer clay and it's painted with acrylics, boots are 1/6 leather-like, can't remember who makes them, hooks and chains from McFarland Lost Soul figures, tophat is a plastic Ken item, I added a felt band and feather. Originally Fork was wearing a leather and skull codpiece, but I won this lot of 60's vintage Ken clothes on eBay, so now he is wearing a really geeky outfit!
If you happen to find yourself in the pit, don't try and escape. The Hellhounds will bring you back dead or alive, or is that dead or dead?
