Yep. I'm back to this junk. Anyway. It seems to me some if not most customizers work alot in one genre or another. So I ask what catagory or genre do you like. Be specific. For my own. I would have to say Comicbook Superhero, specifally Golden Age. So let me hear ya folks.

I noticed that I like monsters, villians and obscure superheroes. I've never made a Batman or a Superman, but I have an Apache Chief and a Blue Falcon.
Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

I'm pretty much sueprheroes only. I don't yet have the skills to pull off other genres. Plus, my passion is in comic characters anyway, so I'll stick with it.
I have three main criteria I use for picking my projects.
1. Is there a cool head? My customs begin and end with the head and it's paint apps. I may be lacking in other aspects of the figure, but the head will rock. That's my theory.
2. Is the character dynamic looking? I go for the coolest looking and not necessarily the best characters. I made a Lightray figure a while back. He's not anywhere close to a known or even respected character, but he has a dynamic look. Plus I was able to find a great head to use.
3. Has anyone done the character before? I like doing projects that are unique or rare. As mentioned above, I do not remember anyone in the history of Mego customizing making a Lightray. I took my shot for better or worse.
A fourth consideration is the cool factor. How cool is the look and how neat is the character?
Some of my choices seem random(duh), but there is usually a thought process involved.

I really prefer alot of western stuff though.
8" genre mego, emce, castaway are the bodies I use.“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment
