So I'm working on some customs Saturday night, and my son Andrew walks up and asks "Daddy, can you make this guy Nightwing?" He hands me the Will Scarlet-headed figure AAAAAA generously donated to the younguns at MegoMeet 06. I immediately started digging through my humble parts box (the old Super Hero record case from the 70s). I had an extra Trek body that would provide the boots, and while Trek pants weren't exactly Nightwing fashion, they would work for Andrew's purposes. I knew I could paint his mask on with my quick-drying Apple Barrel paint, but I had no black shrit. Mommy comes to the rescue with a shirt and glove/oven mitts from a Kim Possible figure, dug from her impressive Barbie wardrobe. A quick symbol drawn in marker on crackn-n-peel, and voila, a Nighwing to stand beside his beat-up and half-put together-but well-loved Dynamic Duo. He loves it! A family effort!!!
