Customs you made as a kid ?

I remember making a brown body suit and mask and drawing a rock pattern on it with a fabric marker to make my extra Hulk into the Thing as a kid. Still have the makeshift Thing suit too.

I made this GI Joe movie-style Falcon when I was 13. I still think it's the best custom I've ever done.

I made the entire Justice League when I was about 7 or 8. I could draw pretty good so I drew and paintedd what I needed to. The costumes were all cloth but glued on except the capes. I wish I still had them. Other than that, I made a Mego Bats into Hawkman (poorly) using wings from a Big Jim eagle. PLus some other stuff here and there. I 've been doing it a long time. lol

The best I did was sneak my Dad's cigarette lighter and add "blaster" marks to misc. Star Wars figures.

Mego wise I did take Superman, Batman and Robin and mixed and matched 'em to get the "Super Robin" composite that was on the Super Friends once.

Not the most creative but it worked for my warped little mind.

Back in the 70's i put a Captain America head on a Spidey body... painted it red and gold... and put a SHAZAM costume & boots on (minus the cape) and called him THE FLASH!

When I was a kid. Customizing was a survival type thing. The Mego's where getting scarce in my neck of the woods. I remember, I had an Ironman and a Fonzie left. I traded his Fonzie clothes for a Human Torch outfit. (I really didnt do much Fonzie play time.) He was my mock Son of Satan, Dormamu, Moltanman badguy. A basic baddy for me and my friends to beatdown on with our SuperHeros.

Customs ain't classic

If its a classic toy and you messed sround with it back in the day then yes in indeed by goodness its a classic. It was a toy from back then that you touched up back then so that makes it classic.

I put the red Shazam suit on Mr. Fantastic, then put blue Hutch pants on over that, added some extra red boots and had the Earth-Two Flash.

I also put the grey Batman body suit on over Robin's tunic, so that on the yellow cape was showing, made a bat symbol with a big 'R' over it, added the Batman belt and boots, and had Earth-Two Robin.

I took the translucent green robotic space guy from the adventure people, put Obi wan's cape on him and Bang! spirit of obi wan.
