Customs you made as a kid ?

The first custom I think I made was Elephant Man.

I took a Star Wars Pruneface body, a Squidhead cape, and carved the tentcles off a Bib Fortuna . Then I cut the tip off a white glove drew and eye hole and sewed a button on for his hat.

    WHY?

I guess cause I could. I don't seem to rememeber many John Merrick adventures after that.

( I guess this is wrong forum but it's "classic" just like all of us! )

Hmm in my case it would be the G.I. Joes who were sacrified (ones that I had doubles
of) to become monster-zombie like killing machines via being burned with lighters, using candle wax to cover the face, partially crushed with rocks (while plastic was still mushy from lighter), buried, having duct or masking tape applied and sometimes burned, and any other method that we (me and a friend of mine) could come up with to create that "jason-like" figure

I made a bionic/cyborg GI Joe. I took a 12" Joe, took off one of his arms and replaced it with a Rock'em Sock'em robot arm.

Pretty cool accomplishment for a 10 year old.

          I made...

I was obsessed with the Under Siege storyline in the Avengers books for a few years. I had some of the Masters of Evil that Toybiz had put out. Zemo from Secret Wars Mattel, etc...I WANTED a Goliath figure. So I took one of those huge 10 inch figures of Marvel figures of Captain America, cut the wings off and painted him like Goliath. Great figure!

Reminds me of Jack Nicolson slapping Faye Dunnaway around in Chinatown

Anything I did was mostly kitbash stuff. I think the first was nightwing.

I think my first involved taking a GIJOE figure named Nemesis Enforcer and making him look like ArchAngel. I made the wings from tin foil.

I first made a Green Lantern mego as a kid.
With the help of my Uncle, we took a Fonze head, made a custom Green Lantern mask.
Then took an extra Green Arrow suit (painted it with oil paints).
He looked pretty good when we were done with him but he was a little stiff. LMFAO!!!!

I seriously have no idea what happened to the figure.

I made Ali into Kunta Kinte and the opponent into Fiddler. Somehow, I still have them, although in pieces. The only Mego figures I have from my childhood.

I had these little fashion dolls, and rather than just let them be fashionable, I made them into girlfriends for my brother's 3 1/4" GI Joes. Their costumes all matched their boyfriend's - The meant making a cowboy hat for one, cutting up camoflage cloth for another's bikini, that kind of thing. But my two favorite ones ended up as ninjas - one wearing black electrical tape and the other in white medical tape. This was back when I thought Scarlett was dating Duke, so Snake Eyes needed someone special too.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

                            Check out my customs!

This is really cute. You sound like you were an awesome sister! They were probably Glamor Gals.
