I totally agree on the leather coats issue.. I was looking at a few different toy lines last year for a nice worn-looking brown leather for Starsky, even the Bratz line, but nothing I liked came up.

Ah well.., something for me to engage in when I'm back in the States this Christmas.

They look pretty ok for a quick and dirty custom job.

Yep.. that's the one I'm probably looking for. I believe I asked you about it a year ago.

Guys! You need to check these great looking figures out. Don't know who the guy is but he does some very good custom work. This is how I wanted the figures to look as a kid.

The sneakers on Starsky are too big; you can see it when the camera pans around to the back.

Other than that, they are pretty cool figures.

Here's a pic from my collection I posted a few months back. I had this spare pseudo-worn leather jacket that was part of an auction lot I won. Don't know what it's origin is though. It's not a Fonize jacket (no slit in the back) and there are no tags inside of it. I just know it works real well on him. Really captures the look.

That jacket on Starsky is perfect!!!!! Throw on a pair of CTVT's blue tennis shoes and you got him down to a "T"

I had to break out my DVDs. Thanks!!

One of the first things I did when I got the Starsky and Hutch figures was try to find new outfits that looked like the ones on the show. Huggy Bear is great, you just add a John Boy hat. Chopper's threads are easy to replace with something cooler, like a shirt from Bratz and some generic Mego jeans. He also looks good in Fonzie boots. Dobey should be on a fat body, but otherwise he's fine. The big problem is the boys and their guns. I eventually settled on a plaid John Boy shirt for Hutch (although it really should be blue plaid) after trying a number of scale jackets. Starsky looks pretty good in the AJ scramble cycle outfit and the AJ gun is correct. Then came Hutch's gun. It took years before I happened on a scale .44 with a dollar store army guy. It looks about right and it's perfect for a Dirty Harry custom!
P.S. Can we see a pic of the black jean Huggy Bear outfit Palitoy?

Yep.., THAT'S the coat I'm looking for. I'd gladly pay a NICE sum of $$ for it if any's got one to offer..

The mego torino goes for a mint and the scale is way off (Not as bad as the batmobile but worse than the rookies cruiser from LJN)
for a proper scale Odds are you'd need to look for a large size Rc car body kit or even a Nascar model kit of a 74-76 torino (it was a common car in nascar back then) or someone who sculpts in PVC could make one. It might cost more than a mego one too

Does anybody know a scale car that looks like a Tornio I can buy or get somewhere? The painting is no issue, I can fix that. Just finding something that is big and the right size......

They look so much better with the leather jackets.

I dunno if somebody mentioned this elsewhere, but doesn't the Big Lebowski Bridges' character wear a very Starsky-esque sweater? Sweet...
