The face on that head looks seriously ghostly and possibly photoshopped. I dunno. He would have to post more examples of his work and bring the price down a lot more.

That's been up there for quite a while and seems like a scam to me.
The photo on the auction is definitely photoshoped, very obvious by looking at the lighting and shadows.
As for the feedbacks, they could be planted.

Anyone willing to take a chance in this economy and see what is the final product?

            Bring down the price?

            Too pricey?

You guys are NUTS regarding the price....$100-$150 for photo realistic
3-D faces as headsculpts is a BARGAIN... pure and simple

And I am not sure either way but the head looking kinda funny makes enough seance because I actually believe they print out your face onto the head.

                I stand corrected.
The price is great and it appears they are legit. I might give it a shot sometime.
I wonder if they use a CNC machine.

There's another guy on eBay doing this as well, but for almost twice that price.
For an original sculpt this is quite a deal, stuff like this costs money folks

The website shows a lot more. Very weird. They look so pixelated, like a video game.

I like the idea, but the pixelation is what troubles me too. There are folks on this forum, and sites like YourOwnHead.net, that do great sculpts in Mego-scale... unless this was dramatically cheaper, I'm not sure why you would go this route vs. the alternatives.

all of the pics on his website look photoshoped. They are TOO perfect...the picture with Obama and Willis on his fingers in different sizes...come on. They are too dead on to not be photoshopped in..

I talked to them a while back and they farm it out. It is done with a two photos and a computer program and a machine makes it for you. I don't think it's worth the price unless you plan to make a bunch of copies to sell. And they said it won't work for drawings. Like comic book pictures. I wanted a bunch of Spidey stuff.

I have seen one of these setups working firsthand, and I will say that the price is very reasonable for what is being done. However, the website representations have been digitally done over to cover up some inherent flaws of the process.
The tech being used creates the exact shape of the persons head in a resin mold; a process that happens after a MAC performs a digital 3-D rendering from a photograph (that is why drawings do not work). From there the painting and details are put on by hand. There is still some individual skill involved and the heads would be more factory quality than hand-made precision.

Watching the mold take shape though is incredibly cool. The same process is used in medical facilities to create prosthetic ears, noses, cheek bones and other facial structures after an accident or explosion has removed the original body parts.
