    Customized MATTEL Body

So I've been messing around a little with the Mattel Body. I tried a Mego Pelvis, but the Torso doesn't set in deep enough...but the Mattel one really isn't that bad. The Legs were the biggest problem...and needed to be replaced.
Re-stringing it is pretty easy once you cut the top Neck thing out...and there's even a Rod that runs through the Chest for tying things all together.

    Looks nice.

Now if only Mattel would fix the problems that their body has and stave off any similar ones with the female bodies that will come out!!!!

My thoughts exactly, nice thread. If you dremel a Mego pelvis a bit, can you use it with the Mattel torso?

        Restringed with elastic?

Maybe, but I don't think it needs it. That Pelvis looks right with that Torso, I think.

^ I agree, that belvis isn't bad, and it even gives the appearance of being a little more Masculine than the mego pelvis, if you know what I mean. Those legs look good on there. Let's hope they fix them. I'm still hoping for some swivel biceps, but not holding my breath.

Swivels would be great. And maybe some bumps ala the T1 bodies to keep the torso and legs from pushing themselves back when he is posed.

Based on all the Pics I have scene in Reguards to the Peoples Idea of The Design flaw of the Mattel's Body and it's legs ..., I think it's the Pevis,.. not the legs at all. Just My Opinion.

Well, since I have proof sitting on my Shelf, that you make the BEST custom Body around...I wouldn't presume to debate you.

Can it stand with the feet together? It looks kind of funny standing with it's feet so far apart.

I thuink if the legs/feet were closer together, that body would suffer from a serious case of wiener pinch!

                        Yes it can.

I have examined mine, and the legs on the Matty one seem fine if you stand him with them spread, but if you move them closer, the thighs turn in making him appear bowlegged and pigeon toed. I don't know if the problem is the leg holes in the pelvis or the thighs where it connects. I guess if your mod doesn't have that problem then it would point to the Matty Leg design and not necessarily the pelvis.
