Indiana Jones hat ideas

Reading the Indiana Jones thread a couple of weeks ago inspired me to make my own Indy custom. I have ideas for the outfit, including the jacket, but I'm having a hard time with the fedora hat. I was thinking about manipulating a brown CTVT western hat after heating it in hot water. Any input on how best to do this or any other ideas for the hat?

Depending on what head you're using, the 9" hat from Dr. Who is perfect. I could never find any of the existing hats that looked right. Just my $.02
