    Challenge Of The Matty Neckplug...

Who's already devising ways? The head size ratio seems 1:1 with WGSH.

I'm guessing that if it's a Big Jim style head, then it has a hollow base. That should make it easier for a sliced neckplug to adhere. A rubber washer might be needed to create a suction gap if the Matty head base is to wide. The best outcome would be to use an industrial glue on the plug and washer, than have the washer push and pop into the Matty head. Otherwise you risk pressuring the glued area when squeezing it into a torso.

What's the sturdiest plug? EMCE? Old Mego? I haven't found a solid one on a CTVT yet, but they do have the most plug material to work with which could be beneficial.

    Brainstorming welcome!

Have to have one in hand to even have an idea of how it really is put together. I'm only getting one, so no customs coming from me. Unless I find a job and can afford one to tear apart.

My plan isn't to remove the Neckplug at all...but use the upper half, and just replace the Pelvis & Legs with Doc Mego ones.

I will probably do the same as Mr. Bat. ^^^.
I generally prefer ball type (Flatt style) heads, and don't use neck-plugs at all.

I too am planning on trying to just replace the lower body.

But it seems to me a resin plug could be engineered to both fit done into a Mego torso & up into a Mattell head
