    Spock Hands

Has anyone cast or modified a mego hand for Mr. Spock in the "Live Long And Prosper" position? Is it hard to do? I'd like one of Spock's hands for the neck pinch and the other doing the LLAP sign.

    Thanks,

    Bob

I have bent the fingers on a Mego hand and then superglued them to stay with mixed results. I have also shrunken down a Playmates 9" hand that is already molded in the Vulcan salute with a little better results.
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

I have seen a couple but could not for the life of me tell you who did them???
But someone should cast up a couple for sure.

I've used heat to reform the type 2 hands into a Vulcan salute. you have to be carefull not to get the plastic too hot, or it gets brittle when it cools and cracks like glass. to be honest, the hands look crummy in that position anyway. Further ahead to get some that were sculpted that way.

I'd really like to find one presculpted then. I was in kmart the other day. The 12' Spock from the current film had extra hands you could swap out. Very cool. Hey Doc! Add it to your site please! In the mean time, I think I'll try one.
