Where to get or how to make cloth belts

I'm seeking to get or make one black and one white cloth belt like the old mego ones.
Any ideas where or if not, how? What materials? I have the buckles just need the material.

I would (and have) use elastic. You can get different colors in different widths at most Wal-Marts or Craft supply stores. A whole bunch of it might set you back two bucks. Be sure to take your buckles with you to make sure get the right size.

yup elastic string or cord,comes in almost any-color easiest to find is black or white.
Reasonably cheap.I usually get it from wally world.

One note, I got some in white, planning to dye it yellow for a Mary Marvel custom. Some blends must be more synthetic than others, because the dye just wouldn't take. I used a sharpie instead and it came out great. I've since used the same method to repro a belt for my Supergirl too.

Hmmmm....

Yeah, you can get the stuff at most craft or sewing stores. And yeah, it DOESN'T take dye so good. The colours usually end up kinda pastel.
