    Flocking Mego Heads

Hello, I am trying to create a Star Trek Strange New Worlds Uhura figure and I think that she would look better if her hair was flocked. Is there anyone that has done this before? I'm sure that there are a few who have and I was just wondering about difficulty and product that you used. Thanks

I do mine in an unusual way. I basically take pulled, shredded knit material and some glue stick and gradually glue it onto the head (usually in strips). Takes a while and you have to use just the right amount of glue stick, but the results usually look pretty good.

Thank you very much. That gives me something to think about.

The GI Joe Medic reflocks AT heads or did 20 years ago. He used a vinyl glue to attach the fibers but he used an electrostatic generator to distribute the fiber

Wow! Sounds kind of involved. Thanks for the information.

With the flocking method shown in the video, I'd actually put the glue on something other than the head to dip the brush in. I usually use a water bottle cap to put my glue in. I don't flock heads, but use the glue for other stuff.

I feel like you could use a block panel of the stick on flocking felt with cuts and darts to make a stick on flocking solution
