Any advice for a Maid Marian custom?

I was thinking about doing a Maid Marian custom for the Robin Hood line, but I need some advice.

Bodies I have in galor, as well as heads, but I don't know which head I should use.

Should I use one of Doc's blonde heads, rerooted? Or should I go with Dorothy, also rerooted? Or maybe Mary Ellen Walton, also rerooted?

Also, what kind of outfit should she wear? A more feminine version of the Merry Men outfit; short tunic, tights, boots, belt and hat?

Or should she wear an outfit more to her station in life? A twelfth century gown, little wimple, veil, and really long train?

Don't know why, but when I think of Maid Marion I think of a blonde.
As far as the oufit I'd go with a gown, not the merry men outfit

*Sigh*, and yet, when I think of Maid Marian, two come to mind.

Olivia DeHavilland, and Mary Elizabeth Mastroantonio, both of whom are brunettes.

Well, if you are going for fitting in with the Mego line, they were loosely based on the Errol Flynne movie, so loosely base it on Olivia DeHavilland.

Health Spa Dinah was used to make a Guenivere prototype. I don't recall ever seeing a Maid Marion.

              There never was one.

I don't think that the Spa Dinah quite has the oomph to be Maid Marian.

I'm thinking of either Dorothy for the innocence or Mary Ellen for the slightly haughty look.

I think Dorothy would be a good one. I think she's the Captain Kirk of base figures.

I would go with mary ellen , but the outfit I would have a bit of a twist, the simple gown would be in white with light blue half tunic with a light blue Wimple (yes its called a wimple) head dress.
but underneath she would wear a merry men disguise in dark & royal blue ,brown cloak with hood and give her with a cross bow from rambo line.

Go with Dorothy with darker rerooted hair and i like the idea of gown with hidden merry men atire under it. nothing like making it harder to make.

I think Dorothy would work well. If you choose a DeHavillland wimple & headress, you won't have to fuss with the hair.

You might even be able to sculpt the wimple onto a resin Dorothy copy, with the veil/headress as separate fabric pieces.

And of course she would wear a gown. You are right, though--in the original tales, she is often in male garb.

Now the hard part: How the heck do I make a wimple that small?

I want it removable so it can't be sculpted on.

Maybe some buckram, cut to fit, with a veil?

stretch fabric cotton/spandex, and run the seem in the back of the head,
Or white vinyl tool handel dip , this in the vinyl that helps you to recover damage of missing tool grips
it will require a a faceless model for dipping.
the everyday gown and half tunic was very simple ,great example is the Mother superior on the flying Nun.
