New Mitts for my Monkey!
An EMCE Soldier Ape was on my shopping list for MegoMeet, which DaveMC's table provided for me! But I've always hated those Danceskin mittens Mego saw fit to decorate him with, so a better pair of hands was also on the shopping list.
Luckily, I found a naked LJN SWAT or ROOKIES figure that not only had the head I used for my SUPERHOST custom, but had a pair of blue-grey hands that not only pretty closely matched the color of the pleather on the Soldier Ape's costume, but were also slightly oversized - seemingly to simulate gloved hands. So while Collette, Lee & Jason chatted in the cafe, I did a transplant. Results here!
Worked nicely! For $5 I got two perfect hands and another head for my Superhost figure revision someday.
I don't see the LJN figure with the blue hands at MegoLike. I hope it wasn't horribly rare...
