Looking for someone to sculpt heads.

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I'm 53 and had a lot of Mego's in my childhood happy to say Mom saved some for me.
I am looking for sculpt heads of the following: Steve and Venus from Fireball XL5 and Steve, Betty and Dan characters from Land Of the Giants.
If any one can help I would appreciate it.
    Mike

Welcome aboard!! (nice to see I am not the oldest one here ... turning 50 next month). I'm sure you'll get some great replies as there are some really talented sculptors here (and I am definitely NOT one of them.. LOL)

BTW, nice to see some attention to Fireball XL5 and Land of the Giants (have the DVD's of both of them and fondly remember both of them "back in the day")... they'd both make awesome Mego's!

I think you will be unlucky if you are looking for an 'off the shelf' sculpt of the characters you mention. However there are a number of people on this site and on eBay who will sculpt heads to order so maybe that is the way to go. I did a custom Mego style Steve Zodiac a few years ago using a shrink of Superman puppet head which look close enough once painted to look like an old toy of Zodiac. Molds of casts of the original Steve Zodiac head do appear on eBay so maybe you could grab one and see if it is of a suitable material to try and shrink using the Hydrospan methond some fellas here use. You'll never get a better likeness but perhaps the head could be too big to start with. I bought this head from Austin at Reproheads.com and I made the costume in a sort of Mego style too and have added the chest emblem since I took this picture by the way. Good luck on your 'Head Hunt'.

(The pic on the right is a colour shot for those who may not be familiar with the character or the show. It is an oldie goldie so I am sure many will not know it although others will of course!)

Go directly to Juanimal, do not pass go, do not collect $200. His sculpts are great. Nice guy to deal with too.
