Price List for Seamstress

I been looking and shopping around for prices for following pieces and thinking to get my clothes custom made from a seamstress

how are the premade clothes? are they a tight fight like bodysuits? star trek shirt? easy to open and hem?

How much would a seamstress on MM charge to make
- 2 custom yellow bodysuit/shirt/pants
- 2 yellow star trek shirt
- black bodysuit/pants/shirts
- red trench coat
- a robin cape in black

i got quoted for $90 from the seamstress here in Toronto for all the custom suits i mentioned above, is that price about right? (built from scratch)

so plz let me know how much others on here would charge for custom

It depends upon the seamstress.

Right now, we're heading into prom season, and every 18 year old girl in America and probably Canada is going to be clamoring for a new prom gown to make her friends look frumpy by comparison.

It also depends upon the type of fabric you want to use for the clothing, the availability of said fabric, how much time the seamstress has, if she has a so-called 'real job' outside of sewing, and how many outfits you want.

However, given the fact that the outfits are so small, and use so little material, it shouldn't take her very long to make said items.

$90 sounds like a good price to me. Is she supplying the fabric, or are you doing that?

I don't know about that...it took a whole afternoon to produce this:

And these take about two hours, because I make the belt loops and sometimes I add topstitching.

Initial design is tedious at best. Once you've done a few, it gets easier.
If you're in a hurry, it will show!
I take a lot of pride into everything I make. It still takes time to make the outfit. Making sure the stitches look good.
I feel good when they look good.

Arlen she is full time seamstress, and makes dresses, and costumes for conventions, she made my Robin costume for my Faze Puppet - she is pretty fast and goodprices, she is kinda backlogged right now for 2 wks.
