    I unthreaded the sucker!

Well, after wondering how the DM female figure was put together, I finally figured it out.

Completely by accident, I first removed the neck plate and rubber band; after numerous attempts to put it back, I accidentally broke the right hip pin.

(I was attempting to pull the elastic and neck plate through the pelvic joint, the leg got pulled back too far, and the hip pin broke.)

The elastic is almost exactly like the vintage elastic, with a loop on each end, but the way it is strung is not vintage.

In the vintage figures, the elastic is strung from side to side, i.e. hip to hip, and shoulder to shoulder.

In Doc's new figures, it's strung shoulder to hip, with the elastic folded over, and put through the metal hook in the shoulder, then hooked onto the leg hook.

The neck elastic is completely unlike the old elastic. It is simply a tiny rubber band looped around the neck plate and put in place.

When I rethread it, after getting new hip pins from Doc, I will do it the right way, hip to hip and shoulder to shoulder. After first putting the neck post and plate in through the torso from the neck, and out the waist joint.

Wish me luck folks, I have a feeling that it ain't gonna be as easy as I just made it sound.
