I"ll be honest: I don't totally hate the oven mitts, but they could have been upgraded later to match the rest of the line. I like all of the SuperGals, even Catwoman; she is comics-accurate for the time of release, & her suit is nicer if you can find a blue one. And I've always liked Mr. Mxyzptlk, although, yes, Luthor would have been a better choice.

Still, the suggestions here are pretty valid. My three revisions are:

Capt. America--redecoed head, more accurate suit & red hands, cuffed boots

Shazam!--more accurate cape (maybe at least like Mego Dracula), cuffed
        boots

The Thing: completely molded rocky body, with just trunks/belt as a
        removable suit
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I would add a button on the back to say phrases and punch sound effects from each character.

            Wow GREAT topic!

            But, uh... just 3 characters??

            Hoo boy...decisions, decisions....

Well let's see... right off the BAT (pardon the pun) my first two choices for improvements would be the Dynamic Duo, followed by The Joker.

Here's how my improvements would break down:

THE BATMAN: 1: 9.25 scale. A handsome, angular, chieseled-featured Bruce Wayne face sculpt (MEGO already created this face sculpt, they just mistakenly named it "Mr. Fantastic" ). An athletically muscular (not hulking) body with ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, and fist hands. An ACTUAL 8 inches in height when nude. Charcoal Grey lycra spandex tights (ultra tight-fitting / low sheen fabric). Separate satin midnight blue shorts (tight fit). Satin midnight blue gauntlet cuffs (with three bat-fins stitched into the outer seam). Correctly-sized Yellow oval chest emblem. Golden Yellow Utility Belt with pouches AND vials (late 1980's Norm Breyfogle style). Faux midnight blue leather flex boots (tight fit around the ankles / boot point reaches just below the knee cap). Snug-fitting latex bat-cowl with medium-length ears (figure about four (4) finger widths long). An ENORMOUS, double-layered, satin midnight blue bat-wing scalloped cape. Cape is able to spread into full bat-wing formation, and is long enough to drag on the ground a bit when at rest. Folding Bat-a-Rang and Bat-Rope accessories.

ROBIN: The Boy Wonder: 1: 9.25 scale. A smiling "wise-guy" Dick Grayson boy head sculpt (with two forehead curls). An athletically built pre-adolecent body (based on "Our Gang") with ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, and fist hands (painted flat green). 6.25 inches in height when nude. Red tunic vest with short green t-shirt sleeves, 6 yellow lace fasteners, and monogram "R" emblem on left side breast. Tight-fitting green lycra short trunks with silkscreened chain-mail scales. Cloth-lined green pixie shoes. Green cloth gauntlet cuffs. Satin double-layered, golden yellow cape with collar. Cloth face mask with wide open eye holes. Folding Bat-a-Rang and Bat-Rope accessories.

THE JOKER: 1:9.25 scale. A nice creepy Joker head sculpt with overtones of Dick Sprang and Brian Bolland mixed (In other words, the GORGEOUS sculpt Dino is finishing up!!!) A "thin-build" body (based on MEGO Type I / molded entirely in white) with ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, and interchangeable hands (fist hands and grip hands (for holding guns, etc.). Eight (8) inches in height when nude. No more silk-screened body-suit. Separate garments: Green shirt, bright orange vest, purple and black striped pleated pants with cuffs. White cloth shoe spats with side button fasteners. CTVT black wing-tip dress shoes. Purple tuxedo jacket and tails with broad, square shoulders, and "acid squirting" flower on lapel.

great topic and alot of great ideas. using ideas that were economically vialbe to a 70's toy company. Since emce corrected the Gorn problem I'll skip him we all know the issues of the original gorn, and I'll even skip the apple green kirk shirt since the figures were more based on the cartoon and it didn't appear there

Robin - give him a JAW line and a titan scale body (I shrunk a head and put it on titan scale for mine and love him) and make the runic cloth not that polyester cape material

Speedy - correct color pattern 1 piece suit instead of the aqualad pants, yellow hands not rubber gloves so he can hold the bow

Penguin - instead of a 1 piece suit use the same pattern as the wizard of oz's clothes (same rule could apply to Joker)
