Non cloth suited Mego Iron man?

Has somebody on here put together a Mego Iron man by using the gloves, boots, belt and regular head and used a suit maybe made out of scuptley or hard plastic torso and leg pieces?

I am thinking about doing an updated Iron man and giving him a modern look but not using a cloth suit.

Yes, I know it wouldn't be really a "Mego" but I am going to use the Mego body. I know someone did something cool on here once. I just can't put my finger on the member.

I want my new version of Iron man to look like he is wearing armor not a super hero costume.

    Anyone?

I believe Captain Mego has one of the coolest Iron Man customs I've ever seen.
However I think most of the suit itself was still fabric.

I think you will still have to do some sort of cloth undersuit to hide the doll's joints. Iron Man is a guy in a suit anyway.

I think you could use Tin Man parts to do a nice first appearance version.

Have you tried craft foam? Also, Dr. Mego can cast some of the knight parts in different colors, so that might work (I'm working on a Modular Armor Iron Man, and will get a pair of knight boots cast in red for that particular custom. Eventually - damn bills!).

No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

If i was doing one i'd go with a Knights and Tin man armour combo.
