head shrink question?

Anyone ever shrink a 8" mego head....so it would fit teen titans body?

Okay smart aleck answers aside, yeah it can be done. Easiest shrink method is to let it soak in acetone for a few hours. Let it swell up and gently remove it. Let it dry and it will have shrunk a bit. If you are lucky, the paint will have stayed intact and you can just touch up as needed.

I know I've seen a shrunken 8" Mego Robin Head, brought down to Teen Titan size...but I can't remember who did it?

I attempted this with a zombie-faced one, but I was thinking about altering the hair. By the time he joined the Titans, Robin usually wore his hair parted on the side. Mego should have done that with the 8" version too. I took a pic of my shrunken Robin next to Speedy. They are basically the same size, but the Robin still looks...odd. I'm still debating on whether I want to finish him for use with my Titans. Their sculpts were so much nicer(the boys anyway), that they make Robin look even goofier by comparison.

I agree with you Del...I've always thought the Mego Robin was pretty goofy looking as well. Never really cared for the Head Sculpt.

It really is more worthwhile to slightly alter the Speedy hair and mask and use that head for TT Robin.

A little bit of Hair re-sculpting...and Aqualad makes a pretty darn good Robin as well.

I'm really digging that modified Aqualad head. It makes a great Tim Drake. I thought about using a Speedy head as the base for Dick Grayson, but then the two would look an awful lot alike. I haven't ruled it out yet, but I'm still looking for something just right...
