    Web Handed Aqua Man

You know After having seen the April 1st post and the question about repros coming up - This isn't really that difficult a custom deal - I kind of want to make one.
All I would need are pics of the backs of the hands... Is the owner a list member?

If there is only one known to exist, and no one has seen the backs of his hands... It strikes me that you are fully able to use your, uh, artistic license to create it the way you want.

From what I recall in Ben's book, the hands are not as curved as the regular mego and they have the webb 'fill' about halfway up the digits. Makes for a bit wider hand as well. I am sure it would not be too difficult for a customizer/sculpter to work out.

Oh for sure it won't be hard to guess at all - especially with the palm pictures, because you have all the dimensions you need right there. It's just ... Like Adam Savage says in his TED talk - it would be about the item, and refabricating it to a certain degree of precision.
Clearly the owner would never take molds (Though I mean come on - we all know it's perfectly safe, and what about that 3-D lithography ) but you still want to see all the sides of the Maltese Falcon in case the back turns out different than you guessed.

Of course I'll forge ahead anyway if pics turn out to not be an option.

In this case, I don't think the owner would be as concerned about safety as they would be about reproducing a one of a kind item.
Certain folks might be a little unscrupulous about that sort of thing.

Oh no doubt. Just look at Doc's Wayne AE heads, etc. (there's still someone trying to 'bay a black/gray batman as rare vintage isn't there?).

Should I stamp a tiny T on one side of the ball joints? Reverse the thumb nail? Whaddayathink?
