    Inspiration Old Comicbook heros

    Hey yunz all,
Recently I got into NEWSGROUPS and leaching oldy comics. Mainly a friend got me into this after a complaint about how modern comics have become too serialized and you have to buy all 151 issues to get the whole storyline. Anyway, My friend pointed me this way. Not only have I found great old comics that were made before I was born. But heros from comicbooks that fell between the cracks. I'm thinking of Mego-izing some of these charactors.

I know some here have done Silver or Golden age heros (Like the original Flash w/ his mercury style headgear.) But who else has done a classic or rare superhero from old or off name comics???

I remember seeing a "Blue beetle" character once somewhere...it's something I like to do...revisit those "old timers"...I prefer them to modern comics(my opinion)

I would love to see some non-superhero golden age comic toys - Like from the EC sci-fi or horror comics.

I cant remember where I saw it....it might have been a comic book show at the Holiday inn , in Nashua N.H. but there was a table with Megos and a couple customs and Someone had made an original Green LLama figur and it looked great!!! the only thing I remember that sticks out the most is the use of an original Aquqman head......anyway we are going back a good 10-12 years.............

Aquatroy here is big on the oldies, and I like to dig up a few from time to time.

There's a few guys here who have done GA Heroes. I'm a huge fan of the Golden age and have created Retro Style GA heroes and actually customized one for myself.

For me GA heroes have a charm that the modern stuff doesn't.

Its been said here in other posts. That the latest Batman show on Cartoon Network has resurrected a few of the older hero's and a few rare one's. I also think thats cool! But these off name guys from defunct comic books are a blast. The other great thing is how they tell you the origin story of the character at the start of every story! So your always up to speed.

I'd love to see a Golden Age Sandman if anyone has ever tackled that.

                  The GA Sandman is awesome!

How about Doll Man? It just totally makes sense to do him!
