    Near vinyl heads!!!!! Maybe

    Hey yunz all.
here is a suggestion about how to get vinyl type heads instead of hard resin. I found a tip site from "Micheal's" (The craft store) concerning "Aleene's Original Tacky Glue". Sorry I dont have a link. Anyway... You mix the glue and some cornstarch til you get like a putty (actually you can mix anyway you wish. runny to putty.) I used this to make Thundar the barbarian's hair if anyone remembers that? I poured the extra of this mixture onto a tupperware lid and let it dry. When it dried it reminded me of a Jonny west vinyl vest. (Mainly because it was spread thin.)

If someone had a hard mold of a head. (Like plaster) and could figure a good seperating agent. I'd say press a putty mix of this stuff in both side of the mold. let dry a little then sqaush it together and let dry. I think this might work.

The thing about the glue base is that its white and drys clear. I mixed acrylic brown into it to get Thundarr's hair color. I would think it easily could be tinted skin colored for a base tone and acrylics could be used for accents (Eye brows, pupils and hair color.)
The thing holding me back from experimenting is I stink at casting!!! and I never have the time. Most customizers here seemed to be into flex casting (making silicone molds)
This would need a more rigid substance like plaster as a mold.

Before you try casting it, humor me and try getting the dried glue misture wet. I used to use a type of craft glue, but don't remember what brand it was. Once dried, it was nice and clear, but if you got the stuff wet, it would turn white again and allow glued pieces to fall apart. I'm looking at my bottle of Aleene's Tacky Glue and it says you can add water to thin it if it starts to dry out, so I wonder if it's the same stuff. If it turns gummy again in the water and the cornstarch doesn't prevent that, it could end up being difficult to paint (or clean when it gets dusty on the shelf).
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
